Once again, he turned up at the right time and showed what he is capable of performing in the important fixtures. Pant’s innings included 13 fours and 2 sixes. India won by an innings and 25 runs which means that they won the series by 3-1 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

India’s former wicketkeeper-batsman is of the notion that Pant has all the potential to go on to break MS Dhoni’s records in the future. We all know that Pant has been brought in to fill the shoes of MS Dhoni.

However, in the initial phase of his career, he got out cheaply by throwing away his wickets. He realised his mistakes by sorting out his woes. Now, he has shown incredible consistency in the last few months by working really hard.

However, Pant still has a mountain to climb in terms of overall performance. According to Kiran More, Pant will go on to break India’s legendary wicketkeeper MS Dhoni’s record.

“You learn every day. You learn by keeping on different pitches with varying soil types. You learn by keeping to the best spinners and pacers in the world that India have at the moment.

You have to learn by observing. He will break MS Dhoni’s records. If you don’t learn, you will be found wanting. With experience, Pant will go a long way,” said More in an exclusive chat with News 18.
