PCB announces schedule for PSL 2021

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalized the schedule for the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). According to the announced schedule, this year’s event will start in February.

Defending champions Karachi Kings will face Quetta Gladiators in the opening match of the event on February 20. The venue for the match is the National Stadium in Karachi. The final will be held on March 22 at Gaddafi Stadium.

The venues have not been increased keeping in mind the coronavirus, so the matches will be held at two venues in Karachi and Lahore. According to the coronavirus situation, a decision will be taken to give spectators access to the gallery as per government guidelines.

On January 5, PCB released a list of 25 foreign players in the highest-priced platinum category for the players’ draft of the sixth edition of the PSL.

In addition to Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman, the list also includes Imran Tahir, Colin Ingram, Rilee Rossouw, David Miller, Rassie van der Dussen, Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel, Chris Gayle, Lendl Simmons, Carlos Brathwaite, Evin Lewis, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Jordan, Alex Hales, Moeen Ali, Dawid Malan, Tom Banton, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Thisara Perera, Isuru Udana, Chris Lynn and Sandeep Lamichhane.
