PCB prepones Bangladesh one-off ODI

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday (March 4) has preponed the one-off ODI match against Bangladesh after request from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).Bangladesh fight for pride as Pakistan eye whitewash

The solitary 50-over match was earlier scheduled to take place on April 3, but now it will happen on April 1.

The BCB had requested their Pakistani counterparts to reschedule the one-off ODI to allow its team more time to prepare for the second Test, which is part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship.

The Test match will commence at the National Stadium in Karachi from April 5.

“The PCB is always happy to facilitate wherever it can and will be delighted to host the Bangladesh men’s national team for additional days in Karachi,” said PCB Director – International Cricket, Zakir Khan.

“There is already a lot of excitement and buzz about the upcoming international matches and the PCB expects the quality of cricket will live up to the expectations of the fans and followers.”

As per the new itinerary, the Tigers will set foot in Karachi on March 29, and remain there till the end of the Test match.

Pakistan have a bright chance to move to the third position in the ICC Test Championship points table if they register a win in Karachi, They had won the first Test in Rawalpindi by an innings and 44 runs.

However, Bangladesh are yet to secure a win in the maiden Test Championship cycle, and they will not receive the services of Mushfiqur Rahim once again.
