Philander rules out of first Test

Philander rules out of first Test South African pacer Vernon Philander will be out of the team for the first Test against Bangladesh. He had been fallen into back injury in the last series against England and yet to gain fitness to play matches.

In absence of Vernon Philander and Chris Morris who has also ruled out himself from the first Test, the South African pace attack might be led by Morne Morkel, Kagiso Rabada and Duanne Olivier.

Other pacers of the Proteas team Wayne Parnell, Andile Phehlukwayo and Beuran Hendricks also waiting to make a place in the team.

There is possibility of Dale Steyn to join in the squad which is yet to be confirmed.

The first of the two match Test series will start from 28th of this month in Bloemfontein. The second Test is scheduled to occur from 6th of October.

Bangladesh will play three one day international matches and two T20I matches after the Test series.
