Photo Album: Bangladesh vs Afghanistan, Only Test (Day 1)

Here are the moments captured during the first day of the one-off Test between Bangladesh and Afghanistan at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.

This was Afghanistan’s first Test against Bangladesh and their third ever overall. Rashid Khan, who became the youngest Test captain, won the toss and opted to bat first.

Bangladesh had success at the beginning with their all-spin theory. Taijul Islam went on to be the fastest Bangladeshi to scalp 100 wickets in Tests. He and Nayeem Hasan took two wickets each.

Afghanistan had Rahmat Shah as their first Test centurion. Shah made 102 runs 187 deliveries including 10 fours and 2 sixes. Asghar Afghan is eyeing his first hundred as well, ending up on 160-ball 88* runs at stumps with Afsar Zazai (35*) at the other end.
