Bangladesh have taken 1-0 lead in the two match series after a 64-run victory in the first Test against Windies at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.

Bangladesh put on 324 runs in their first innings after electing to bat first. Mominul Haque was sublime as he made 120, his eighth Test ton.

In reply, Windies were bundled out fo 246 runs. Shimron Hetmyer scored a quickfire 63 for them. Nayeem Hasan took five wickets for 61 runs, becoming the eighth Bangladeshi to take a five-for on debut and also the youngest debutant ever to take five-wicket haul in Tests.

The Tigers managed only 125 in their second innings after suffering a batting collapse. Windies required 204 runs to win. In the end, Bangladesh knocked them down for 139 runs to seal victory.

Taijul Islam took his seventh five-for, 6 for 33. Shakib Al Hasan completed his double of 3000 runs and 200 wickets in Tests.
