Bangladesh have won the first ODI by 28 runs against Zimbabwe to get 1-0 lead in the three-match series at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur.
Bangladesh posted 271/8 after electing to bat first. Opener Imrul Kayes smashed his third ODI century, 140-ball 144. Mohammad Saifuddin scored his maiden fifty scoring 50.
In reply, Zimbabwe were restricted to 243/9 in their 50 overs. Sean Williams scored unbeaten half-century. Mehidy Hasan Miraz bagged three wickets for the Tigers.
