Bangladesh and Zimbabwe have ended the first day’s play of Sylhet Test evenly as the tourists are 236 for 5 in 91 overs in the first innings.
Zimbabwe chose to bat first in Sylhet stadium’s debut Test. The match was inaugurated in a traditional way with former Bangladesh captain Akram Khan ringing the five-minute bell.
Both Zimbabwe and Bangladesh had two debutants each – Brandon Mavuta, Wellington Masakadza, Ariful Haque and Nazmul Islam Apu.
Sean Williams’ 88 runs, his 72-run stand with Peter Moor, Nazmul Islam’s cobra celebration and an unexpected entrance from a fan to hug Mushfiqur Rahim were the moments of the day. Also Read - Pakistan vs New Zealand ODIs: Imam ul Haq returns from the injury
