With one match left in hand, the home team lifted the limited over series quite comfortably. To take the preparation for the white jersey, New Zealand Cricket Board, on Tuesday, announced the playing twelve for the two day match prior to the Test series.

28 year old Bharat Popli has been selected to lead the side. The playing squad is comprised of several pacers and a pair of spinners.

Adam Milne will lead the pace attack that includes Ben Sears and Edward Nuttall.

About the selected squad, selector Gavin Larsen said, “We’ve pulled together a competitive side which features a number of our Under 19 World Cup players from last year and they should give Bangladesh a quality hit-out ahead of their three-Test series against the BLACKCAPS, which starts next Thursday in Hamilton.”

The preparation match is scheduled to take place on 23rd of February at 11 AM local time and 4 AM Bangladesh standard time.

The first of the three match Test series will begin from 28th of this month in Hamilton.

Bharat Popli (captain), Jakob Bhula, Max Chu (wicket keeper), Blake Coburn, Andrew Fletcher, Nick Kelly, Ben Lockrose, Ken McClure, Adam Milne, Edward Nuttall, Dale Phillips, Ben Sears.

Bangladesh Test squad against New Zealand:

Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Tamim Iqbal, Mohammad Mithun, Mominul Haq, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Litton Kumar Das, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Mustafizur Rahman, Ebadot Hossain, Taijul Islam, Naeem Hasan, Syed Khaled Ahmed, Abu Jayed Rahi and Sadman Islam.
