Practice match drawn

Bangladesh 6/0 after day-2

First practice match between Bangladesh and CSA XI resulted in a draw. The three days practice match ended today where in total three innings have been played by both. During this match Bangladesh had a good practice and warm up by batting two innings against CSA XI. Though Bangladesh had to fight really hard against team South Africa locals which gave Bangladeshi supporters a bit dis-satisfaction, team Bangladesh is ready to fight in the real battle field with full confidence. The first innings started at 21st September in Benoni and opened batting by Bangladesh. That was a good innings for Bangladesh because Mominul, Mushfique and Shabbir got half century and even Soumya had runs. But the nightmare came for Tamim and Bangladesh as he got match injured and went out by injury retirement at the very beginning of the innings which probably makes him unfit for playing the first match.

But in the next innings bowlers were not so successful as they were hit by the South African local batsmen making an expensive innings of 313 runs with 8 wickets which was even more than Bangladesh’s first declared innings. This is a bit gaudy for team Bangladesh but to cover that up Bangladesh came for second innings where they were not that successful. Bangladesh could have 235 runs and gave away 9 wickets having an extra injury of Soumya.

But Imrul Kayes and Shabbir Rahman did well at the last day. Imrul opened with Liton Das at the absence of Tamim and Soumya and took 51 runs. Shabbir had a good innings of 67 runs as well. These are the only satisfaction of last day.
Whatever the practice match’s result is, Bangladesh will fight really hard at the first match of the series, believes team Bangladesh.

Brief score,
Bangladesh first innings- 306/7 (Dec.)
CSA XI first innings- 313/8 (Dec.)
Bangladesh second innings- 235/9 (Dec.)
Result- Match drawn.
