Preview: Will Bangladesh turn around in Test against Windies?
Bangladesh and West Indies will encounter in a two match Test series starting from November 22 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
Having the fresh outbreak of spin success against Zimbabwe, Bangladesh could count on their spinners in the forthcoming series as well; the touring batsmen exhibited noticeable weakness against rotating balls in India where Kuldeep Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin ran through their (West Indies) den.
Bangladesh’s appearance has been boosted by the return of world number one all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan strengthening the spin wing of the home team further along with a buzzing Taijul who captured 18 wickets in the two match Test series against Zimbabwe.
As Tamim Iqbal is still missing in the tent, Bangladesh team management will have to decide the opening partner of Imrul Kayes; Litton Kumar Das is highly likely to partner him considering Soumya Sarkar was the least impressive with scores of 5, 43, 3 and 0 in four innings against Zimbabwe.
For Windies, there will be no Jason Holder in the camp. Raymon Reifer would do the job of a handy all-rounder.
The batting department of the visitors will rely upon Kraigg Brathwaite, Kieran Powell, Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer while Keemo Paul and Kemar Roach will lead the pace attack.
