Price hike for tickets of BPL playoffs

The business end of the AKS Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has finally arrived after almost a month-long battle between seven teams in the first round to capture a spot in the playoffs. And now the playoffs are all set to roll onto the ground with Dhaka Dynamites and Khulna Titans in the first one on Tuesday. (নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ বিপিএলের টিকেটের দাম বাড়লো)

Though the ticket prices for the first rounds were kept to a reasonable limit, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to increase the price of all catagories of ticket for the playoffs.

For the first day of playoffs where one qualifier and one eliminator will be played, the price of Eastern Stand tickets has been increased from 200 Taka to 500 Taka. The tickets of Northern and Southern Stands will now cost the spectators 600 Taka, which was previously just 300 Taka.

The ticket prices for Shahid Mushtak Stand and Shahid Jewel Stand have now been transformed to 1000 Taka which were previously 500 Taka. Grand Stand tickets, previously worth 1000 Taka, will now be 3000 Taka.

Point to be noted that there will be just one match, the second qualifier, on Wednesday and hence the ticket prices for that particular day will remain unchanged. But whether or not the repackaged prices of tickets will also be applied for the final match on December 9 is yet to be revealed.
