Questioning Kohli’s batting technique is anything but stupid: Inzamam

Virat Kohli has been in bad form lately. His performance has had an impact on the team’s results. India have been whitewashed in two-match Test series against New Zealand as Kohli failed to make the expected run in ODIs and Test series in New Zealand.

Questioning Kohli's batting technique is anything but stupid: Inzamam

Kohli was dismissed for 2, 19, 3 and 14 runs in the Test innings in New Zealand. In the last two ODIs, he returned for 15 and 9 runs. India have been brainwashed in the Test series after the ODI series due to their disastrous batting against the Kiwis.

Kohli, who is in the off-form, is being criticized at home and abroad. However, Kohli has Pakistan’s legendary cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq in his side at that crisis.

Former Pakistan captain Inzamam recently said on his official YouTube channel, “Many people have been criticizing various issues, including Virat Kohli’s batting techniques. I am disappointed in their criticism of Kohli. The boy who played the fewest matches in international cricket has scored a third-highest total of nearly 22,000 runs for India in addition to 70 centuries, but questioning his batting technique is anything but stupid.”

Inzamam added,

“It is normal for a cricketer to be in such a form at a career stage. I can tell you about Mohammad Yousuf, he was at a time of off form too. Still people have been critical of him. He came to me, I told him then how did you score more than 17,000 runs for Pakistan with the same strategy? Of course you are on the right track. Such a time can come to anyone’s career. There is nothing to despair.”

Inzamam, who scored a maximum of 20,541 runs for Pakistan, added again, “Going into the off-form is part of the game. I believe Kohli will comeback better.”
