Quetta to bowl first, Mahmudullah-Tamim playing


Quetta Gladiators have won the toss and elected to field first against Peshawar Zalmi in the Eliminator 1 of Pakistan Super League (PSL). The team chasing in qualifier 1 won it in a canter. But the conditions have completely altered from UAE. With rain in the air, Quetta have taken the safe route of having a total ahead of them.

The birthday boy Tamim Iqbal and the in form batsman Mahmudullah Riyad who played the final of the Nidahas Trophy couple of days ago has joined their respective team and both are in the playing XI today.

For Peshawar Zalmi, only Dwayne Smith declined to play in Pakistan but it has been a big blow for Quetta as most of their star players opted to not come. Kevin Pietersen, Shane Watson and Jason Roy all are unavailable as they declined to visit Pakistan. Rilee Rossouw was undecided but went ahead to make the trip at the very last moment.

On the other hand, Thisara Perera and Mahmudullah who faced each other few days ago in the Nidahas Trophy are playing together in the same team today. Well, this is the beauty of cricket.
