Raina wary of strong Bangladesh A

Since the shocking 2-1 defeat against Bangladesh back in June this year, Suresh Raina has been out of the national team, for about three months now. He was rested during India’s short tour to Zimbabwe and also didn’t find a place in India’s Test squad against Sri Lanka.

But ahead of the home series against South Africa, he is getting a chance to sharpen his performance with playing for India A against a strong Bangladesh A side. However, Raina reckoned that the matches against Bangladesh A were far from being mere ‘practice games’. He aslo acknowledged the need to play really well if they wanted to beat the strong Bangladesh side.
“There will be good three quality international games. We must to go out in the middle and play some good brand of cricket. And we also need to be more disciplined than ever. I’ve been doing it for the last 10-15 years,” said the Indian middle-order batsman.
Raina also insisted that they can’t take games against Bangladesh as mere pracrice ones anymore after losing to them in an ODI series earlier this year.
“I think it’s a good practice game. But i can’t actually say it’s a practice game only because we have lost a series to Bangladesh. However our A team has done pretty well in the last couple of series, and again we need to to repeat playing good cricket,” told Raina to the reporters.
