Three members from the franchise including the chairman Ranjit Barthakur were present at Bangladesh’s ‘home of cricket’ at around 2:00 pm local time.

However, it is yet to be clear whether Rajasthan will take their preparations in Dhaka for the upcoming season. The fixtures of IPL 2021 are yet to be released as BCCI is finding difficulties in organising the tournament at home due to pandemic.

Bangladesh currently has less than 40,000 active COVID-19 cases with nationwide vaccination in process.

“Three men have visited here. They are happy with ground facilities. I cannot say why exactly they have come here,” BCB grounds manager Syed Abdul Baten told BDCricTime.

Bangladesh left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman was picked by Rajasthan at 1 crore INR in the auction last month. If he is allowed to play over Sri Lanka tour. he will be the first Bangladeshi to play for them.

Chairman Ranjit later revealed the franchise wants to build an academy in Bangladesh, “We want to make a ‘Royal Academy’ in Bangladesh.

“Rajasthan Royals are excited to have Mustafiz. We hope to have him throughout the IPL but we also don’t want him to skip national duties,” he added.
