The Indian Premier League lived up to fans’ expectations and kept them at the edge of their seats more often than not. The cricket fraternity has witnessed countless nail-biting encounters, terrific sixes, a flurry of fours, incredible catches, milestones so far.

As the 13th edition of the league came to a close, we were certain about one thing. IPL teams gave absolutely everything in an attempt to win games and compete for the title. But, not all teams lifted the prestigious trophy.

Mumbai Indians can take pride in the fact that they are the most successful side in IPL history. After beating Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2020 final, they won their fifth title in their remarkable journey. CSK won three titles so far.

Kolkata Knight Riders won two accolades to their name. Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and now-defunct Deccan Chargers won a trophy once. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals, RCB and Kings XI Punjab haven’t won a title.

RCB made it to the finals on three occasions but failed to win a trophy. Kings XI Punjab have also reached the finals once but the result was not in their favour. Delhi Capitals made it to the finals for the first time in their history.

Shreyas Iyer-led team were the second-best team in the recently-concluded tournament. They finished second in the league stage and lost to MI in the first qualifier. But, they took the long route by beating SRH in the second qualifier only to face the defending champions in the finals. MI once again got the better of DC for the fourth time this season and won their fifth trophy.

While players from the respective franchises entertained the fans, social media handles of IPL teams were also equally good in keeping their fans engaged on Twitter, Instagram. We have witnessed IPL teams hilariously taking a dig at each other.

This time around, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals were engaged in a funny banter. It all started when Delhi Capitals’ Twitter admin tweeted “Hey @rajasthanroyals, Here’s to us always entertaining fans on and off the pitch. P. S. Dear RR Admin, let’s carry forward our banter to #IPL2021, where your comebacks are stronger.”

Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals Twitter admin savagely trolled Delhi Capitals with an epic tweet. RR Twitter admin added: “Good night to all fans whose team has won at least 1 IPL title.”
