Rashid Khan extends contract with Sussex

Rashid Khan, the right arm leggie from Afghanistan extends his contract with Sussex Sharks as he will continue to play in the next edition of T20 Blast.

The leg spinner will play for Sussex sharks in 2019 too like in this year until the start of Carribean Premire League. At the same time his presence to the franchise will also be subjected to International clearance.

The secret is 'no secret' for Rashid Khan

Rashid, who initially penned a deal for the first half of this season’s group phase, played 11 T20 games for Sussex, bagging 17 wickets at an average of just 14.35 and an impressive economy rate of 6.59. He played a significant role in taking his franchise to the knockout stage.

As per the deal he won’t be available for the crucial last-four game against Somerset on September 15 due to national commitments.

On 31st August the sensational leg spinner has confirmed about his extended deal with Sussex Sharks for next year’s edition.

“I’m so happy and pleased to be back with Sussex in the 2019 T20 Blast. I had the best time this year; my teammates, the coaching staff and the management staff were amazing.”

The wrist spinner is so much delighted to work witj the franchise again. He shared

“I really enjoyed my stay and can’t wait to come again and play for Sussex next year.”

“I was really pleased to see the team qualify for the quarter finals and then to the Finals Day. I wish them the very best of luck; I hope they do well and win the title for Sussex. Come on Sharks!” He further added.

The coach of Sussex Sharks Jason Gillespie, the former Australian fast bowler also shared some words of excitement on the extended contract. “I’m jumping for joy at the prospect of having Rashid back for us next year.”
