The leg-spinner from Afghanistan, Rashid Khan had a wonderful outing in the IPL 2018. Rashid Khan bagged an award soon after completed the final against Chennai Super Kings. He has won T20 Bowler of the Year award at the CEAT Awards in Mumbai.
Rashid is the backbone of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowling department. He is the second leading wicket taker in the 11th season of IPL. Kings XI Punjab’s Andrew Tye finished the season as leading wicket-taker.
Rashid Khan has played 17 games and grabbed 21 wickets at an good economy of 6.73. He scalped many big wickets in the season including the likes of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Chris Lynn, Ms Dhoni, Andre Russell and many more. But, the leg-spinner considered that the wickets of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Ms Dhoni remain to be the biggest wickets of his career.
“Getting rid of Virat (Kohli), AB (de Villiers) and MS Dhoni was very satisfying. In fact, I consider them the best wickets of my career so far. They are really good players of spin bowling so getting them out made it memorable for me,” Rashid Khan said.
After the conclusion of 11th season of IPL, the leggie is back for International duties. He will play three T20I games for Afghanistan against Bangladesh from June 3. After the completion of three match T20I series, Afghanistan will play their first ever test game against India. Certainly, Rashid is not getting enough time to spend with family and friends.
“I have not been able to spend too much time with my family, finding myself with them barely for 15 to 20 days,” he concluded.
