Rashid Latif picks 2010 Pakistan spot-fixing as best memory of the decade

Former Pakistan skipper Rashid Latif hit the headlines recently after he shockingly named the 2010 spot-fixing scandal as his best cricketing moment of the decade.

It is cognisance of the fact that the infamous spot-fixing scandal shocked the cricketing globe to the core which saw the likes of Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir getting banned from the game for five years and they spend time in prison too.

Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif were involved in a spot-fixing scandal in the year 2010 which rocked the cricket fraternity.

Latif’s remark came in response to a Twitter question posted by the International Cricket Council (ICC) that asked for people to disclose their favourite cricketing memory of the last 10 years.

ICC took to its official Twitter handle to post the question. The caption from the post read: “What is your favourite cricketing memory from this decade? Go.”

“Spot-fixing scandal 2010 London,” Latif said on Twitter.

Mohammad Amir has since returned to play for Pakistan again, but then-captain Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif have never featured for their country since then.
