Ravi Ashwin shuts a Pakistani troll on twitter
The England team were beaten by Australia in the three-match ODI series as the visitors clinched the series by a margin of 2-1. During the final ODI, there was an incident that went viral.
The England spinner, Adil Rashid was out of the crease at the bowling end during the 49th over. Mitchell Starc, who was bowling the 49th over, had a chance to Mankad the spinner of hosts.
But, the left-arm pacer gave a warning to Adil Rashid and moved back to bowl the next delivery. After this incident, the cricket fans were impressed with Starc. The social media was flooded with appreciations for Starc.
While others were busy with appreciating Mitchell Star, one Pakistan fan took his twitter handle to troll Ravichandran Ashwin. He posted a tweet by mentioning the off-spinner and asked him to learn something from the Australian pacer. The Tamil Nadu spinner replied that he would discuss this incident a few days later.
The reason behind his tweet is Ashwin mankadded Jos Buttler in an IPL game between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan was in a good position as they were moving towards victory. But, Ashwin who was bowling at that time, decided to Mankad Buttler, who was out of the crease before bowler delivering the ball.
After that incident, the cricket fans were divided into two parts. While few were in support of Ashwin as it was inside the cricket rule, others were against Ashwin as mankad was not the spirit of the game.
Please learn something @ashwinravi99
