Jadeja likely to be ruled out of Test opener against Australia

India’s next series will be against England at home starts from the next month. The Indian team are currently preparing for the Test series against England, however, they have faced a huge setback.

The left-arm pacer’s delivery hit him hard on the hand and dislocated his left thumb. Though he could not take part in that match, the Indian team managed to draw the game. However, the left-hander missed the final game of the series as well.

Jadeja had gone through surgery in Australia but he needs a minimum of six weeks to recover from the injury. Though he has been ruled out of the Test series, the decision of his return to the ODI and T20I side has not taken.

“He is out of Test series and he will take more than six weeks to recover completely. The selectors will take a call later, whether to include him in the team for the shorter formats,” a BCCI official was quoted saying by The Indian Express. His rehabilitation will be taking place at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
