Record will inspire me to do better in coming days: Miraz
Mehidy Hasan Miraz has become the fastest bowler among Bangladesh cricketers to take 100th Test wicket. The young all-rounder says that this record will inspire him to do better in the coming days.
Before Miraz, Mohammad Rafique, Shakib Al Hasan and Taijul Islam took 100 wickets for Bangladesh. However, all three of them are left-arm spinners. Miraz became the first right-arm spinner to take 100 wickets.
Miraz’s voice is also full of excitement on this great day of record. At the end of the third day of the Dhaka Test, he said, “I got 100 wickets, I feel very good. They got it as a left-arm spinner. I got the fastest 100 wickets as a right-arm spinner, it will inspire me to do better. I will try to take more wickets for the country. Which will be very good for my career.”
Miraz is only 23 years old, endless time in the coming days of his career. Where does Miraz want to see himself? No matter where his vision is, this spinning all-rounder doesn’t want to be stuck in statistics, “No one can predict the future. But my dream is to take my career a long way. It is not possible to say in advance how many wickets I will stop and how many runs I will score. If the goal is determined, it becomes stressful for me. As long as I play cricket, something good will happen In sha Allah.”
In addition to this record, Miraz has set another record. He is the fourth youngest cricketer to take 100 Test wickets. Only Daniel Vettori, Harbhajan Singh and Saqlain Mushtaq touched this feat at a younger age than Miraz.
