West Indies were the ones who marked the return of international cricket during pandemic in the historic three-Test tour of England. Several Caribbean players then went on to play CPL and IPL before the national team touring New Zealand for three T20Is and two Tests.

Roberts questions the difference between touring England/New Zealand and Bangladesh that would make players hesitate to visit.

“How do all of these guys who couldn’t make a team two or three years ago now become so big that they are refusing to tour and blaming it on the bubble,” Roberts said.

“Was it a problem when the majority of these players went to England?  Was it a problem when the majority of these players went to New Zealand? How now is it a problem when they are going to Bangladesh?”

As of Monday morning, Bangladesh has 47,795 active cases. This is a large decline since it had been around 70 to 80 thousands three months ago. 7,626 people died of COVID-19.
