India’s opener Rohit Sharma once again proved why he is the most consistent openers for India and the best in the world too. Hitman showcased his mettle in the ongoing World Cup where he essayed 2 flamboyant centuries and a half-century to his name.

He absolutely ripped apart the Pakistan bowling at the Old Trafford in Manchester on Sunday and in the absence of his partner Shikhar Dhawan who was injured, the Indian vice-captain took the responsibility on his shoulders and played ever so well against Pakistan and in the process, he smashed a 2nd century in the tournament.

His massive 140 off 113 balls was just enough to steer India to a colossal score of 336/5 in their quota of overs.

He was awarded the Man of the Match for his blistering knock. He was there at the post-match press conference where he had interesting answers in store for the tricky questions where were asked by the reporters.

One of the reporters asked Rohit Sharma to give a piece of advice to the struggling Pakistani batsmen who couldn’t match India’s potential once again in the World Cup. “What advice would you offer to the struggling Pakistani batsmen?” the reporter asked.

“I’ll tell them if I ever become the coach for Pakistan,” Rohit was quoted as saying in the press conference.

India convincingly won the game by 89 runs via DLS method and are now sitting well at the third position in the points table with 7 points to their name. On the contrary, Pakistan are ninth in the table with just a win and a washout in five matches.

India will take on Afghanistan on June 22 at The Rose Bowl in Southampton whereas Pakistan are now left with only 4 matches and will need to win all of them in a bid to qualify for the semi-finals as they take on South Africa on June 23.
