Indian cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma praised the Indian Premier League for having so many captaincy options in the Indian team. Rohit Sharma has praised the tournament (IPL) as he believes it gives players plenty of opportunities to show their true talent and brings out a leader in them. This leadership of the players in the Indian Premier League is an advantage for the Indian team.
Rohit believes that when the full-time captain is injured or unable to play a game or tournament, there are many players on the team who can emerge as leaders and lead the team on his behalf.
"IPL created the platform for the Indian team to have many captain options and gave them a lot of managerial experience," said skipper Rohit Sharma, as reported.
Rohit Sharma is the full-time captain of the Indian cricket team in all three formats. Since he (Rohit Sharma) was made captain of the Indian team, 8 new captains have been created for the different series. Some of them are Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
