Rohit Sharma discloses his biggest cricketing crush
India’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma has been busy interacting with his fans on social media platforms during coronavirus lock-down period. Rohit is making sure that fans would get an absolute visual treat when they watch his live video chat session.
It was only recently that the vice-captain had a candid video chat with his teammate Jasprit Bumrah and former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen. In addition, Rohit and Yuvraj Singh spoke about incidents and things both on and off the field in a live chat session on the micro-blogging platform, Instagram.
It all started when Rohit invited Yuvraj for a casual chat on Instagram. During the session, Rohit reserved the highest respect for Yuvraj Singh whom he considers as an epic source of inspiration. Both of them have seen ups and downs together most importantly lifting the coveted ICC World T20 trophy in 2007.
Rohit Sharma also went on to add saying that Yuvraj Singh was his biggest cricketing crush in the Indian cricket team. Rohit said that he always wanted to talk to Yuvraj, play like Yuvraj and train like Yuvraj.
“When I came to the Indian team, my biggest cricketing crush was Yuvraj Singh. I wanted to talk to him, play like him, train like him. The kind of role Yuvraj had at that time, I was supposed to get a similar kind of role in future.
Batting in the middle order, at 5, 6 or 7 whatever number and finish games too. And obviously fielding, point per koi scene hi nei tha (noone had a chance at point) but yeah, took it as an inspiration,” Rohit was quoted as saying by HT.
