The clash between Bangladesh and Windies will be an important game for both the sides as they look to keep them alive in the tournament with a win. However, Windies suffered a huge blow ahead of the game.

Caribbeans’ vital all-rounder Andre Russell missed the training on Sunday and questions arising over his availability for the game against Bangladesh on Monday. Windies trained for two hours and Russell didn’t take part in any kind of training.

It was later informed that he didn’t train due to injury. He didn’t play against South Africa, which was abandoned due to rain in the end and he is likely to miss the upcoming game due to the same injury as well.

Russell played the game against the hosts England while being unfit, He felt pain while bowling as well. But the team management was hopeful that he will recover fully before the Bangladesh game. And it has now turned into a massive concern for the Caribbeans.

Darren Bravo is likely to play in place of Russell. He trained hard with the team on Sunday. He has not played well in the tournament so far. He played two games where he departed for a duck in the first game and couldn’t bat in the second game.

Bangladesh will play against Windies at the Country Ground, Taunton.
