SA T20I squad for Australia series: Hendricks called up

Reeza Hendricks has been called up to the South Africa T20I squad to fulfill the places of Temba Bavuma and Heinrich Klaasen. Both of them were troubled by injuries. 


Bavuma was diagnosed with a right hamstring strain on Monday. Meanwhile Heinrich Klaasen sustained a right hip injury during the team’s warm-up session ahead of the opening match of the T20I series opening match against Australia in Johannesburg on Friday.

As South Africa was preparing on Saturday for the second encounter of the series, Hendricks joined the team in preparation.

The second match will take place in Port Elizabeth today.

Bavuma and Klaasen will be in rehabilitation. Their fitness assessment will be done aead of the start of the match.
