Sabbir confirmed it after he posted a picture on his instagram an hour ago. At first, he mistakenly wrote “on the way to Lahore for PSL final” and the captain of Peshawar Zalmi Darren Sammy didn’t miss the chance to troll his team mate. He commented “U will miss it then.” After few minutes, Sabbir changed the caption.
Tamim on the other hand, after playing the eliminator 1, experienced a lot of pain in his left knee which also ruled him out of the qualifier 2 as he flew away to Bangkok to seek medical assessment. Tamim is expected to return home on March 25 – the day of the final – and will decide the next course of action after discussing his rehab with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
Bangladesh national team returned to Dhaka from Colombo on Monday morning after ending the Nidahas Trophy journey. Two premier cricketers of the team Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah Riyad flew to Lahore to participate in the eliminator stage of the Pakistan Super League.
The PSL final will be played between the PSL 2 winner Peshawar Zalmi and PSL 1 winner Islamabad United on Sunday.
