Sachin makes a hilarious fun of Malinga’s run up regarding saliva ban


Due to COVID-19 pandemic across the globe, cricket has been off from the field for too long. Although, the global pandemic is not still over but the authorities are trying a lot to return cricket in the field with the amendment of some rules and regulations. In order to stay away from the contamination, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has imposed ban on the use of saliva.

The new proposed rule has already left the bowlers frustrated, who are used to using saliva from the start of the career to shine the ball in order to bring a change in the behaviour of the ball. Meanwhile, India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has identified a unique problem Sri Lanka pacer Lasith Malinga will face after resuming Cricket.

Sri Lanka’s shortest format Skipper has a habit of kissing the ball every time he gets ready for his run-up before every delivery. He has been doing from way stage of his career to befool the batsmen. But as the COVID-19 transmitted through using Saliva, Malinga will have to stop doing it for the safety protocol.

Sachin Tendulkar pointed out the problem of his former Mumbai Indians (MI) teammate in a tweet and make a funny compliment. Sachin felt that Malinga will have to change his run-up as he used to kiss the ball every time. He also posted a picture of the bowler kissing the ball.

“A certain someone will have to also change his run up routine with the new @icc rules! What say Mali?” his tweet read. Malinga had not responded to Shachin’s tweet yet, but It will be interesting to see if Malinga responds to the master blaster as both of them have a good cricketing fraternity.
