Sachin’s tweet on Stuart Broad’s 500 Test wickets goes viral
Stuart Broad became the talk of the town after he picked his 500th Test wicket and thus becoming the fourth pacer to achieve the feat. He also became the second fast bowler after James Anderson to reach the milestone. 13 years ago, when the amateur Stuart Broad was trying to make a mark in international cricket, he was banged by Yuvraj Singh as the latter smashed six sixes in an over in the 2007 T20 World Cup.
After that embarrassment, almost everyone had written Broad off. However, the fast bowler believed in himself and slowly made giant strides and eventually touched the pinnacle of success now.
Meanwhile, legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar showered praise on the England fast bowler Stuart Broad for his extraordinary achievement to claim 500 Test wickets. On Day 5, Broad dismissed West Indies opener, Kraigg Brathwaite, in 14th over of the West Indies innings to achieve the milestone.
Sachin Tendulkar, who had earlier backed Stuart Broad to come good in the second Test added that the pacer was out on a mission and went on to congratulate the England side for their “emphatic series win”.
Congratulations to England on their emphatic series win.
And like I said earlier, @StuartBroad8 had a spring in his step and was out there on a mission. Congratulations also to him on picking his 500th Test wicket. Terrific achievement! #ENGvWI pic.twitter.com/LGRKWBYOSh
