He said at the press conference at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium, “We will definitely play Semi Final if we do our jobs well in the first round. I am not feeling it as too much challenge. Every year the U-19 teams of all countries change. All our players have come through age-level cricket.

“This team has some lackings in experience compared from previous side. But it’s a start. We are going to play our first tournament. I hope everything will be right after the Asia Cup,” he added.

“Most of us have played together in U-17 team. So we have a good contact with each other. We had camp of three-four months and played practice matches. I hope we will do well. We will try to achieve our best from Asia Cup which will help us in future,” said Saif.

Bangladesh U-19 cricket team will leave for Sri Lanka on Tuesday. They will face Afghanistan in the first match on 15th December.
