Bangladesh promising all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin has picked up injury again ahead of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup which is scheduled to start from November 24 this month.

According to the reliable source close to Saifuddin’s team Minister Group Rajshahi has informed BDCricTime that Saifuddin has suffered from the injury during warm-up at Mirpur Academy Ground. And it seems that he’s injured his ankle.

For now, first aid has been given and Saifuddin has been resting. The 24-year old all-rounder will also come to practice tomorrow. The next condition of the ankle of the foot will be monitored by scan.

In Mirpur, Saifuddin was seen leaving the field on a crutch. Saifuddin’s Rajshahi teammate Mohammad Ashraful spoke to the media on that day (November 22). When asked about Saifuddin, he said that one of the most important cricketers of the team got injured while playing football.

“I don’t know the recent update. We are not clear either. He fell while playing football and got hurt. And then he got hurt in the ankle,” Ashraful said.

Previously, Saifuddin struggled with back injury much. And it’d been a serious threat to his career. He played taking painkillers during the course of the World Cup held in England last year. Then he also rules out from India and Sri Lanka tour, even from Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

However, this time his ankle injury has been a much concerning news for Rajshahi as he’s the main star player of their team and the five-team tournament Bangabandhu T20 Cup will start with the match between Saifuddin’s team and Mushfiqur Rahim’s team Beximco Dhaka.
