Ramanayake said,

“I have been working with him (Mohammad Saifuddin) for the last few days. He had a back injury but his condition is getting better day by day. Now he has started bowling. He is getting ready for the Zimbabwe series. He will likely play in the BCL starting on February 14. I’m very happy with his situation right now.”

Saifuddin, who has been bowling in nets, is working with yorker deliveries. Ramanayake was asked the reason behind paying attention to the yorker deliveries.

Ramanayake replied, “He knows what he is doing. He is a very clever cricketer. He loves to ball in death overs and that’s why he’s working with yorkers. Right now, we’re not working that way with the skill. Because he will play four days cricket from February 14. Still, he’s working with yorkers. We know he can do the yorker but applying on the field is important. You have to try again and again to get the right results. He has a plan.”

Mohammad Saifuddin is happy to work with Ramanayake. Ramanayake is working with certain places. This pace bowling all-rounder will try to take the maximum result from him.

“Yes, of course, he is an experienced bowling coach. He has been working with the Bangladesh team for long time. The former Sri Lankan pace bowler. In fact, there is a lot to learn from him, though I didn’t get a chance to work with him for a long time. But he has worked in certain places that I like. So even as I have a week in my hands, I will try to get some more experience from him.”
