Saini might comeback in the second innings at Gabba

Indian medical team is working hard to get Navdeep Saini back for the second innings in the ongoing fourth Test against Australia.

India’s long tour to Australia is about to end, with only four more days left in the tour. The final Test has started in Brisbane just three days after the dramatic draw at SCG. At the moment, it looks like the hosts are in the upper hand at the end of day two.

India were 62/2 by the close of play on day two after the rain interruption. Earlier in the morning session, Australia were bowled out for 369 in their first innings. Ahead of the second innings, Indian fans might receive good news as the fast bowler Navdeep Saini may comeback and bowl in the second innings.

Indian fast bowler Navdeep Saini had to walk off the field, after struggling with pain in his groin regions. He was attended by the medical staff on the field. But he was unable to continue there and walked off the field, during the second session on day one.

Later BCCI confirmed that the fast bowler has been taken for the scans as he is continuing to struggle with the pain. Now it has been revealed that the Indian medical team is working hard to get back Saini ready for the second innings. A close source to the team revealed the news to ANI.

“The medical team is working on Saini. He has a groin injury, but they are trying their best to ensure that he can take the field in the second innings” a source close to the team told ANI.
