Captain Darren Sammy was very happy with the effort of his team. He was particularly happy about the way Sabbir Rahman, who scored a responsible 52-ball 43, played in the crucial fixture, “I didn’t want to change his batting or style of cricket. I just asked the guys to be responsible. It’s not about anyone’s ego, it’s about the team. Yeah, they had some issues, I have dealt with that.

He also added, “I had a word with Sabbir. I told him, well played, that was very responsible, now let’s do that again. The Kings is about a family. Once I came here and saw the guys, I knew that we were going to win. I have told the owners that we have come here with a mission and nothing is going to distract us.”

Earlier, Sabbir Rahman started the season brilliantly. He scored his maiden twenty/20 hundred in the third match of the season. This is also the only hundred in tournament so far. The very next match he scored 46. But since then he did not had any remarkable score. The team was very disappointed with performance of their icon cricketer. Instead he got involved in controversy and was fined heavily twice by the referee and BCB.

But he will be now relieved after his vital knock against the Khulna Titans. The Rajshahi Kings will be now up against the Dhaka Dynamites in the final of AKS Bangladesh Premier League-BPL in Dhaka on Wednesday.
