Samuels Enrolled Ahead Of Horns Locking With KKRWest Indian Marlon Samuels will replace injured South African Quinton de Kock of Delhi Daredevils for the remainder of IPL X (Indian Premier League).

De Kock had been ruled out with an injury to his right index finger that he collected during the New Zealand tour last month. The update was caught up from a statement by the IPL council.

A veteran of 71 Tests, 187 ODIs & 55 T20Is, Marlon Samuels played for only one IPL franchise in previous editions. He was among the unsold players in the IPL auction this year, with a base price of RS 1 crore.

He last played in IPL in the 2013 edition for the already terminated Sahara Pune Warriors. In 2012 he debuted in the IPL, played eight matches scoring a total of 124 runs & picking up eight wickets.

Samuels happens to be the second post-auction buy for an IPL franchise in this current edition after Ishant Sharma was bagged up by the Kings XI Punjab.

The senior-most cricketer in the Indian squad initially went unsold at the auction, who had a base price of whopping RS 2 crores.

The Delhi Daredevils will face the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Match starts at 4pm IST & 4:30pm BST.
