Sarfaraz namest best Indian batsman and Bollywood actress
Former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed is enjoying time with his family while in quarantine. He has become more active on the social media platforms after cricketing activities came down to a standstill due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The wicketkeeper-batsman was axed from the captaincy in October last year and he lost his place to Mohammad Rizwan due to dissatisfactory performance. Although, Ahmed’s career has turned into new era after he was selected for the upcoming England tour.
Not only this, Sarfaraz was also demoted from Category A to Category B in the PCB central contract list. When he was dropped from the national team, he went back to first-class cricket and scored a hundred and a total of 340 runs at 48.57 average.
Sarfaraz named Virat Kohli as the best batsman in the world among other players like Steve Smith, Kane Williamson, David Warner, Joe Root and Rohit Sharma when he was asked to pick the best In a recent interaction with Anish Sajan.
“But, as I have told you before that when I have been behind the wicket, I have felt that although Rohit Sharma does not have that many runs in Test matches, the timing that he has is great. But the number one player in the world is definitely Virat Kohli. Nobody can match him,” the Karachi-born cricket added.
While talking about his favourite Bollywood actress, Ahmed picked Katrina Kaif over Deepika Padukone. “Katrina Kaif is my favourite from the beginning, so it’s her.” He also picked the best Pakistani actress when he was asked to pick between Mehwish Hayat and Ayeza Khan, he went for Hayat.
Sarfaraz also keen to play matches between the two neighbouring countries and hopes that fans can see more of India-Pakistan clash.
“Of course, there is this thing that people from India and Pakistan are quite passionate about cricket and have loads of love for the game. I have personally seen that there is a good friendship between Pakistani and Indian players,” the former Pakistan skipper added.
