Selectors monitoring Nasir Hossain

Fifth Season of Bangladesh Cricket League- BCL has started from today. As usual the cricketers will be desperate to perform and get into the national team. Especially for the Cricketers who went out of national team recently, Bangladesh Cricket League- BCL is the best platform to impress the national selectors ahead of the India and Sri Lanka tour. Cricketers like Nasir Hossain and Al Amin who were regular member of national team in past will be seen in action in this franchisee based first class cricket league.

The Selectors have also confirmed that they are looking forward to the tournament and the performance of the players.

Former National team captain and selector of the Bangladesh Cricket team Kazi Habibul Basher Sumon has assured the cricketers about this.

He said, “The performance in BCL ahead of the India series will definitely be considered. If the cricketers are smart enough they will make the full use of this opportunity. Not everyone is getting the chance to play this league. So, its a big chance to prove yourself.”
Though the national team players will be in rest after the New Zealand series, but cricketers who returned earlier- Mosaddek Hossain and Tanvir Haider along with Shafiul Islam who has recovered from injury will also play this round of Bangladesh Cricket League- BCL.

In the first round, the defending champions Walton Central Zone are taking on the Islami Bank East Zone in Bogra. The Prime Bank South Zone is playing BCB North Zone in Sylhet Stadium in the other match of this round.
