Tamim took to his Twitter account to congratulate the newly crowned Under-19 champions, as he wrote: “Heartiest congratulations to the Bangladesh U19 team for winning the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2020. You made the whole country proud. #BANvIND #U19CWCFinal.”

Wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim also joined the list, saying: “Alhamdulillah!! I can say without a doubt the biggest achievement in my life is becoming a cricketer from Bangladesh. These boys have made me prouder than ever. Congratulations superstars!!!!!”

Things are not going too well for Bangladesh Test skipper Mominul Haque in Pakistan as his side is on the verge of a defeat, but still he took some time off to offer greetings to the future stars.

In the mean time, President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have also led the nation in congratulating Akbar Ali and Co.

Hamid in his message greeted the players, coaching staff and team management. He was optimistic that the Young Tigers will bring greater glory to the nation in the future.

Hasina also greeted the team. She said, “We will have to keep up this professional mindset to move forward in the future.”
