Shadman hundred, Bangladesh A lead by 67 runs
Opener Shadman Islam has scored his third first-class ton in the only unofficial Test against Ireland A. Bangladesh A have crossed 300-mark after the end of day two at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
The hosts started the day with 38 runs for one wicket after bowling Ireland A out for 255 runs in the first innings. Shadman and skipper Nazmul Hossain Shanto made the bowlers toil in a 137-run second-wicket partnership.
Shanto scored 69 runs off 135 deliveries with seven fours. Mohammad Al-Amin failed to prove himself after being dismissed for a 11-ball duck. Yasir Ali made 86-ball 35 runs hitting two fours and two sixes.
Shadman’s third century in longer-version cricket came off 188 balls. He hammered 108 runs from 219 balls including 15 boundaries.
All-rounder Mahedi Hasan scored 35 off 58 with four fours and a six at number seven. Nurul Hasan remains unbeaten for 51 runs off 98 balls with five fours. Sunzamul Islam is on 4* at the other end. Bangladesh A finished the second day with 322/6 in 103 overs. They are leading by 67 runs with four wickets remaining.
Nathan Smith and Andy McBrine took two wickets each for Ireland A with Stuart Thompson and Goerge Dockrell striking once each.
