Shafiul back in action

Bangladesh cricket team right arm pacer Shafiul Islam who had suffered from hamstring injury during the fourth edition of Bangladesh Premier Leeague (BPL) T20 is back on the track again. After recovering from the injury he is now playing in the sixth and final round of Walton LED TV 18th National Cricket League (NCL). [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ ২২ গজে ফিরলেন শফিউল]

He has been picked up two crucial wickets for Rajshahi Division in his comeback match at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra. He has showed his class with the bowl in his come back match against Rangpur Division. He bowls eight overs and gets rid of Mahmudul Hasan, Naeem Islam’s  wickets by giving 34 runs.

This young pace bowler of national team was called up for the New Zealand tour of Bangladesh but due to injury he won’t make his comeback in the team. Although selectors are willingly to take him in the squad and it is supposed that he will travel to New Zealand for Test series, Safiul doesn’t want to bother himself with the expectations of going to New Zealand. He is now more focused with the NCL and told, “I played my first game today and by the grace of God everything went well. As of now, my body is working fine and I am feeling no pain anywhere, so that’s a good sign. However, that is all I am thinking about. I don’t know if I will play in the Tests or if will go to New Zealand.  As of now I am completely focused on the NCL.”
