Shakib added to squad, set to play on Friday

Shakib just came back from Australia few days ago after a check-up and some reports suggested that he can start playing after some days but he was unlikely to feature in the ongoing tri-nation series. But all of a sudden, a good news came for the Bangladesh dressing room as he is all set to join the team.

The number one all-rounder injured his finger while fielding during the final of the tri-nation series against Sri Lanka. He couldn’t take part in the remaining part of the match and after the scan, the doctors confirmed that it is a serious injury.

Shakib missed the Test and the T20I series against Sri Lanka but it was expected that Bangladesh will get their captain before the start of the Nidahas Trophy. But that didn’t happen in the end as his finger was not fully recovered.

But according to the sources, Shakib is now fully fit to take part in the all important clash against Sri Lanka on Friday and he will be flying to Colombo in evening today if everything remains alright.
