Shakib becomes the third in ICC ODI bowling ranking

Shakib Al Hasan has received the reward of his good performance with the ball in the first one day international of the series against the visiting Zimbabwe. For his excellent display with the ball Shakib got an improvement in ICC’s ODI bowling ranking. He is now in the third position by sending T A Boult of New Zealand in the fourth position.

Before starting this series Shakib Al Hasan was in the fourth position with 690 rating points. T A Boult was in the third position with 705 points. The man with the golden arm Shakib Al Hasan put a great show with the ball in hand in the first ODI against Zimbabwe. He did his career best howling in that match and took five wickets in an innings for the first time.

Shakib took 5 wickets by giving 47 runs and helped his team to capture a win of 145 runs against Zimbabwe in the first ODI. And according to the calculation it added 16 more rating points in Shakib’s stats. With the help of this, he put T A Boult behind as his rating points will be 706.

But it is not the career best position for him as he earlier occupied number one position of ICC’s ODI bowlers ranking with 717 rating points. Besides he is the number one all-rounder in all three formats of that game. He is currently one wicket shy of equalling Abdul Razzak as Bangladesh’s leading wicket-taker in ODIs.

2. M.A. Starc (Australia) – 713 rating points

3. Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh) – 706 rating points

4. T.A. Boult (New Zealand) – 705 rating points
