Shakib flies to Australia for better treatment
Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan who is still nursing a finger injury has flew to Australia today for better treatment of his injured finger. Earlier Shakib went to Colombo to inspire his team mates ahead of the ongoing Nidahas Trophy.
Yesterday Shakib posted a photo on Facebook and said he was asked for prayers from his followers. “It felt good being with the team after awhile. Spent some good time with my teammates even though it was for a little time. As I’m scheduled to take off to Australia for better treatment. Everyone please keep me in your prayers for my fast recovery so I can comeback and join my team soon,” Shakib said in his Facebook post.
Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah Riyad said Shakib’s presence boosted the team. “He is with the team now. It is good to have him with the team and the players are excited. He is here to share his words and thoughts with the team,” Mahmudullah to the media Wednesday.
To be noted, Shakib sustained the injury during the final match of tri-nation series in Dhaka when he tried to throw a ball in the 41st over of the match.
