Bangladesh team performed horribly once again in Test cricket in Antigua against West Indies in the first Test. Many demanded a change in the XI after the Tigers surrendered helplessly despite playing with the best possible XI. Before the St. Lucia Test, captain Shakib Al Hasan has hinted at that 'desired' change.
Fast bowler Shoriful Islam has been included in the squad before the second Test. Anamul Haque Bijoy was also included in the squad ahead of the first Test and is also with the team in St. Lucia.
The chances of these two cricketers being in the XI are also very strong. Mustafizur Rahman may get rest if Shoriful, who has 4 Test experience, returns to the XI. Mominul Haque and Najmul Hossain Shanto have been in very poor form recently and so anyone can lose his place and Bijoy will be the man who will replace that place.
At the pre-match press conference, however, Shakib did not disclose the changes. However, he said, the team is also thinking of changing the XI.
He said, “We also have a lot of thoughts. We will sit after today's training session. After that, a meeting will be held and everyone will be informed so that everyone knows who is playing in the match and who is not playing.”
However, the 'team' decision will not be given to the media or outside the team, Shakib also revealed.  he added.
