Shakib Al Hasan is known as one of the best all-rounder of all time in international cricket. As a Bangladeshi player, he is also one of the best of cricketer in country’s history. He has contributed a lot for the team from the beginning of his career.

He is one of the few cricketers whose endeavor always pushed a team from a vulnerable position to a strong position. He has acquired almost all the records for national cricket team. Now, Tamim Iqbal has called Shakib the best cricketer of all time in Bangladesh.

To prevent match fixing in any forms of cricket, International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced some principles. One of it laws says, if a cricketer is proposed for a match fixing activity, it should be informed to ICC directly. But Shakib made the mistake by not informing the proposal to ICC previously.

Later on when this was exposed, Shakib was accused to the charge of hiding proposal from a bookie. Consequently, ICC brought him under trial and suspend him for 2 years from all forms of cricket. But after confessing his mistake this punishment was reduced to 1 year.

The time period for Shakib’s punishment is going to end in October this year. Shakib’s absence has suffered the national team much, said Tamim. In a live video chat on The Daily Star’s Facebook page, Tamim described Shakib Al Hasan as the best player of all time in Bangladesh cricket.

Tamim said,

“Anyone would want a player like Shakib. Any captain will want him in the team because he has got such a class. However, there is still a lot of time left. October is still far away.

“I hope after the ban time is over Shakib will be back with great enthusiasm. He’s the best cricketer and performer in Bangladesh, I think. I am not insulting or disrespecting anyone but to me, Shakib is the best cricketer of all time in Bangladesh.”
