Shakib not included in latest ICC rankings

Following the Australia-Pakistan, England-New Zealand and India-Bangladesh Twenty20 series, the global governing body of cricket, ICC has released their T20 rankings. But Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan’s name was not included in any of the three category of the latest rankings. Shakib who is banned by ICC is not in the top 100 for batsmen, bowlers or all-rounder rankings.

Mohammed Nabi came in at number one. On the other hand, new captain of Bangladesh T20 side, Mahmudullah Riyad is at no. 4 in the ranking.

Shakib was placed at second position on the all-rounder rankings list. After the tri-nation T20 series against Afghanistan and Zimbabwe, he was at that position. In addition, he was ninth in the bowling rankings and 32th in the batting rankings.

However, Shakib is still on the Test and ODI rankings list. The ranking of these two formats has not been updated yet after Shakib was banned. So Shakib is still the best all-rounder in the ODI. On the other hand, the all-rounder is third in the Test rankings.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam tops the rankings of batsmen. Australia captain Aaron Finch and England top-order batsman Dawid Malan are at number two and three respectively. There was no change in the top five in the bowlers list. Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan is at number one. Mitchell Santner, Imad Wasim, Adam Zampa and Shadab Khan are two to five, respectively.

Earlier this month, Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was banned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for two years with one-year suspension for failing to report three corrupt approaches.
