Shakib repossess top all-rounder spots across formats in latest ICC ranking

Even though Bangladesh failed to come out with desired result in the recently completed Rocket tri-nation series, 2018, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan illustrated jubilant all-round performance that paved his way to seize the number one place in the latest ICC all-rounder’s ranking. In tri-nation series, Shakib Al Hasan scored 163 runs and captured 9 wickets. He earned 359 rating points and pushed Mohammad Hafiz in the second place of the ODI ranking.

Meanwhile with 437 rating points, Shakib Al Hasan is standing in the top spot of the Test all-rounder ranking; India’s Ravindra Jadeja is far behind than Shakib, his rating points are 390.

The third place goes to Ravichandran Ashwin with rating points of 367.

Like other two formats, Shakib Al Hasan earned the top position in T20I ranking as well. In the shortest format of the game, Shakib’s points are 353; Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell secures second position with 330 points.

In the Test batsmen ranking, leading captains across countries are reigning the list.

Aussie skipper Steven Smith, with 947 rating points tops the Test batsmen list while Indian skipper Virat Kohli stands second with 912 points. England captain Joe Root stands third with 881 points. Last but not the least, New Zealand skipper Ken Williamson acquires 855 points stands in fourth position.

James Anderson of England achieves 887 rating points to become the best Test bowler with South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada in the second position, 875 points.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli stands as the best ODI batsman in the ranking with 876 points.
